Welcome to Blue Arrow Acres!
Welcome, welcome! We are so glad you found us.
We have been super busy out in the gardens this year working away. We have experienced some great successes and some disappointing losses. Shall we start with the bad news?
The Bad News
We have yet to perfect our methods for growing carrots and pickling cucumbers, having basically experienced crop failure in both cases! Ug. Last year we had so many beautiful carrots - so we are kind of bummed. Pickling cucumbers continue to be my nemesis, I promise we will prevail...just not this year. We will have enough to stock our own stores, fingers crossed, they produce more so I can share with you, but it will be limited!
The Not So Bad News
While our garden seems a bit behind a lot of others this year, we have lots happening and lots will be available. It is our hope that you will enjoy tomatoes in September! There has been such weird weather and little rain. But we are positive the tomatoe harvest once it starts is going to be top-notch!
The Good News
Everything else in the garden is doing well and we will have some good stuff to offer! Potatoes, onions (red and white), garlic, beans, peppers (hot and bell), tomatoes, potatoes, corn, celery, salad cucumbers, zucchini (yellow and green) and peas.
In fact the peas and zucchini are ready now! You can go grab some off the site now. There aren't many bags left of the peas, but we will be picking again before the weekend.
Thank You!
The support we have been shown over the winter and the patience and excitement that you all have shown and shared with us has been overwhelming. We feel very supported in what we are doing and can't wait to grow our little veggies farm over the next few years!
Sincerlely,
Trinda & Adam
